Meet Minecraft Legend Jens 'Jeb' Bergensten

In the October 2024 'Get In The Game' issue of K-Zone, we chat to Jens ‘Jeb’ Bergensten, Minecraft legend and Chief Creative Officer at Mojang Studios! Check out these bonus answers for online K-Zoners!

KZ: Hi Jens! Can you share a secret from behind the scenes with K-Zoners?

J: Sometimes people think that we're just playing games at work, but we're actually making games. It's a little bit different. Well, of course we need to make sure that it's fun and that the experience is what we intended. The only way to make sure of that is to play the game and try it out. J: Can I pick a friendly mob? There are so many to choose from… How about the fox? They are very cute!

KZ: If a K-Zoner was about to play Minecraft for the first time, how would you explain the game?

J: Minecraft is an adventure, but it's also about creativity and building things – anything you can imagine. Also feeling proud and happy about it, and telling your friends about what you created. I think, at the core of Minecraft, it's still the same as when we got started. It's a

it's a game that it can be confusing at first, but you have to set your own goals and figure it out. That is part of the journey.
