There’s a new hostile Minecraft mob in town with the Minecraft 1.9 Update, and truth be told, it’s kind of adorbs. What’s more, it’s even got an awesome name – ‘Shulker’.

Shulkers usually appear in purple boxes but when you approach they lift off!

You can find these guys at the End City, at the Outer End after defeating the Ender Dragon.

The coolest thing about them is that when you get hit, you get a 10-second levitation effect. If used correctly, this can allow you to fly up into the End City! But be careful, because if you fall mid-flight, you’ll get some pretty heavy fall damage.
