Pikachu is giving up being Ash’s travel companion for a very important purpose – to solve crimes in a brand new game coming to Nintendo 3DS called Great Detective Pikachu: The Birth of a New Duo!

He looks a little like Sherlock Holmes with a cute little hat – but don’t be fooled. This Pikachu is not to be messed with – he has a fierce temper and he talks in full sentences! In fact, he even has a super low voice, which is a little spooky if we’re being real!

What’s more, there’s even a super special edition Detective Pikachu amiibo made by a special amiibo artist called GandaKris! Check it out…

The game is only available in Japan so far – but we’re hoping we’ll be able to check it out soon in Australia!
