Playing Now: Detective Pikachu Returns

There’s a mystery to be solved and only Detective Pikachu and his partner can get to the bottom of it! You’ll need to use your wits and wiles if you hope to crack the case. Available On: SWITCH

In Ryme City, people and Pokémon live side by side in harmony. Well, mostly. See, there’s this stuff called ‘R’ that can make Pokémon hulk out and go crazy. That’s what happened in the original Detective Pikachu game (and film), and now strange things are afoot once more. Just like the last game, you play as the crime-solving crew of Tim Goodman and his partner Detective Pikachu. Tim is the only person who can understand the coffee-loving pika peep, and only Pikachu can help Tim unravel the riddle of his dad’s disappearance. They’re a dynamic duo and what starts out as a search for a stolen gem soon turns into something more. The plot might grow a little dark for younger players, but it’s fun discovering clues, collecting information and seeing all the Pokémon around the city. Some can even help you with your investigations. You can use Growlithe to track scents or Darmanitan to bash through objects! Smashing!

PRO TIP!

Leave no stone unturned when investigating! That means searching every scene for clues and talking to every character you can: people and Pokémon alike. Once you have all the clues you need, Tim or Pikachu will tell you and you can start to deduce!
