Playing Now: Ori and the Will of the Wisps

There’s no point Wisp-ering about how we really love Ori’s next epic adventure in Ori and the Will of the Wisps! Available on Xbox One and PC

This forest is out to getcha. That’s why we’re not sorry that Ori is up to the task of tackling his quarries. And there are stacks more baddies than trees in Ori and the Will of the Wisps! Good thing the devs have made fisticuffs a bigger focus of this sweet sequel. Plus, Ori has the right fighting spirit. Pepper foes with arrows from range with Spirit Arc, Hawkeye style. Slash away at them with Spirit Edge, just like ’saber-swinging Rey. Or embrace your Thor side with Spirit Smash for heavy hammer attacks. The tiny terrors won’t know what hit ’em! Then there are the towering bosses. Like, a man-sized spider, man, that’d scare Spider-Man. A freaky wolf. A molten-mouthed worm. A fast-moving flying freak. Plus, a tentacled monstrosity from the deep. It’s not all about the battles. Help out the friendly forest peeps with side quests. Then jump, swing and slide your way through trying-but-totes-flying platforming puzzles.

PRO TIP!

Keep a close eye on the ghost racers in Spirit Trials to shave off precious seconds. These speed-run sprints are great training for blitzing through the main game. Plus, they help you learn shortcuts and high-speed tricks, coz the prerecorded competitors can’t hide their sneaky speed moves! Mimic what the fastest ones do for boost tricks.
