Playing Now: Samba de Amigo: Party Central

Shake, rattle and roll to the beat in this colourful rhythm action game. With its infectious energy, Party Central is sure to have you dancing up a storm. Available On: Switch

Switch Joy-Cons become makeshift maracas in Party Central, letting you shake them to the rhythm across 40 songs. Getting your groove on is easy at first – just follow the dancefloor directions to know when to shake up, down, left and right, but if you drive up the difficulty you’ll need a serious samba to keep up. There’s more to the action too, as you’ve gotta stay on your toes and strike a pose or do specific motions during songs. Some of the tops tunes in Party Central include ditties by Ariana Grande, Carly Rae Jepson, Flo Rida and Lady Gaga. Plus, there’s a couple of Sonic classics in the mix! Samba de Amigo has plenty of ways to play, like StreamiGo! where you master missions to become a star, and World Party, where you pop off against other players online. (If you have Switch Online, obvs.) Topping it all off are a crateload of customisation options to unlock for your gurning gibbon.

PRO TIP!
If you want dope duo dance-offs with a friend you’re going to need two sets of Joy-Cons cos Pro Controllers are only supported in single player. Even then, we reckon you’re missing out on some of the fun if you’re not waggling Joy-Cons about!
