Are you ready to have a ball? A monkey in a ball, that is! Why? No idea, but it’s hard to deny how much fun it is to tip and turn this game’s mega mazes to steer your simian to safety. How fast can you reach the goal? How many bananas can you bank on the way? And can you grab the golden ‘nana too? With 20 worlds and 200 levels your technique will be totally tested and we had a blast pitting ourselves against these merciless mazes. You can spin dash to hit ramps hard and corner cleverly, and the splitscreen co-op means the whole fam can get on a roll together. Want more competition? There are five multiplayer modes for up to 16 players, including riotous racing and a fun fracas where you bump a bomb back and forth. It’s a shame mini-game classics like Monkey Target and Monkey Bowling weren’t included, but there’s still plenty to play with. A-mazing!

PRO TIP!

We reckon the best bit of Banana Rumble is looking for level skips. Sometimes you can find just the right spot to drop off the course and fall to the goal far below, other times you can spin dash to hit a bump and send your simian sphere careening across a chasm!
