Here’s a radical recipe for you. Take one ordinary, everyday car and remove its wheels. Then, add legs, a tail, a jetpack or helicopter blades – anything you like, really – and set it loose on bizarre obstacle courses where bears in bike helmets cheer you on as you try to get to the finish line. That’s the delightfully dopey dish that is What the Car? Every single level hits you with a new twist. A few of our faves include being on stilts (only the stilts are giraffes), zooming about in a hamster wheel, swimming through a level as a car-p, and a level where your car is made of glass, so don’t crash into anything as you’ll shatter into a million pieces! There’s even a cooking mini-game where you have to chop up fruits and vegetables in a kitchen… as a car. What the!? You can even create your own levels and share them with friends! We can hardly bear it!
DID YOU KNOW?
What the Car? is being made by an indie studio in Copenhagen (that’s the capital of Denmark!) and they’ve made a series of very silly – but also awesome – games, including What the Golf? and What the Bat?
