Psaro is the prince of Nadiria, but he’s been having a tough time of it lately. You see, his dad the king has cursed him, so he can now no longer harm any creature of monster blood. Kind of tricky when you live in a land where monsters rule supreme! On a quest for vengeance and to become the Master of Monsterkind, this cheery chap has become a monster wrangler, which means scouting out potential predators, training them up and even fusing monsters together, before commanding them in battle. The combat looks awesome, and The Dark Prince will take you all over the underworld, from landscapes of lava to a kingdom made of cakes and sweets. No, really! The seasons change too, altering the paths you can take and the monsters that appear. Psaro won’t be alone, with a mystical elf named Rose, and magical researcher called Toilen Trubble (now that’s a cringey pun!), along for the ride.

The Dark Prince has more than 500 different types of monsters to discover and use in battle. Better still, you can even combine monsters to create new hybrids! Even a humble Dracky - those adorable little Dragon Quest bats - can be beefed up to pack a punch with a clever combo!
