In Été you bring the world to life with the stroke of a brush! You play a budding painter who has moved to a friendly neighbourhood in Montreal to spend the summer as an artist, and you have some truly magical moves! The world around you starts out without colour but you can literally paint the colour back in! Trees bloom into beauty and birds burst into life as you paint the objects around you. Better still, anything you paint is unlocked in your scrapbook and you can then use it as a part of your gorgeous watercolour paintings. Simply visit your easel and you can start a new canvas and resize, rotate and play with any objects you’ve collected. It’s a simple system but sublime! Neighbours will ask you to paint specific things, but you can also just paint for fun and then hang your work on the walls of your apartment!

Été is pronounced ‘ay-tay’ and is French for ‘summer’! Not only that, but the city of Montreal in Canada, which is where the game is set, is also where the game’s developer – Impossible – is based. The team is very small, but clearly terrifically talented!
