BRIDGE ISLAND ZONE

The game's first zone is similar to other starting zones like Green Hill and Emerald Hill, but it's still very unique! Enjoy the beachside vibes in the daytime and as the sun sets, but keep an eye out for enemies like Crabmeat, Buzz Bomber, and Chopper, with Dr Eggman at the end. A giant gold ring and a blue ring will lead you to Special Stages!

SPEED JUNGLE ZONE

The opening zone lets you get comfortable with the gameplay, but the second stage is a speedy experience! With hanging vines to help you fly high, and a robo-mozzie boss firing harpoons, there's plenty of action. The jungle is filled with the remains of an Eggman facility, and there are Girders, Badnik factories, and broken machine parts everywhere. After completing the first Act, you even get the option to play an alternate version where Fang is chasing Sonic the entire time. Of course, once you complete the normal second Act, Eggman turns up again.

PINBALL CARNIVAL ZONE

This amusement park location is a pinball-based setting, where fireworks explode in the background and you can spot a huge Eggman statue. Watch out for the creepy transformation, where ghost-like obstacles appear – along with Badniks!

CYBER STATION ZONE

You're entering cyberspace… As you run through the Zone, the characters cross beams and become pixelated, and even transform into animals like squid or mice! Near the end, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy also turn into rockets! This retro Zone will take you back in time, but watch out for Dr. Eggman chasing you while an Egg Prototype attacks. Don't relax – you're heading into a trap!

SKY TEMPLE ZONE: This floating island features a stone temple and large network fans. Hold on – there's a storm coming!

LAGOON CITY ZONE: This submerged city includes an exclusive act for Amy! Amy uses her Piko Piko Hammer to interact with fruit-style objects, and meets a mysterious girl called Trip.

SAND SANCTUARY ZONE: This desert area is a scorched setting with some of the best music in the game!

PRESS FACTORY ZONE: Explore an Eggman Empire-owned factory, and race against the clock.

GOLDEN CAPITAL ZONE: You'll find plenty of rings here, which is great if you have already found all the Chaos Emeralds.

FROZEN BASE ZONE: Stop shivering and start running! The first Act is a normal Sonic level, and the second flies to the sky for something super different.
