It’s been 20 whole years since the first Pokémon games appeared (Red and Blue versions in 1996)! But now Nintendo have announced two brand new Pokémon versions coming at the end of 2016 – Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon!
So what’s new in these super cool new versions? Lots, apparently! Check it out:
- A new world, and of course, new Pokémon!
- Pokémon Bank is back – meaning you can transfer any of your caught Pokémon from past titles to the game! There are 722 Pokémon you can catch in the games before Sun and Moon, so you’ve got a lot of work to do to complete your Pokédex
- The games will be in 2D, however some areas will be available to play in 3D
- The games will defs be available on Nintendo 3DS, but they could be packaged with the new Nintendo console NX too!
If you’re a Pokémaniac, keep an eye on K-Zone for more updates on the new games!
In the meantime, check out our Pokémon X and Y trivia quiz or even find out which starter Pokémon starter you are!
