We gave Sonic Superstars a shout out a few issues ago but now we’ve laced up our signature red kicks and we’re getting ready to go fast! If you missed our earlier sneak peek – Sonic Superstars is a brand-new 2D side-scroller in the tradition of classic Sonic games but with the power of modern consoles to play with, the level design, Sonic and his pals all look totally next-gen. As well as being extra shiny, the new levels look hard and we’ve got a sneaking suspicion that once we get out of Green Hills Zone the difficulty is going to ramp up – big time! Another twist to the gameplay is of course the inclusion of co-op multiplayer, with up to four players having the ability to join in and play as Sonic, Knuckles, Amy and Tails at the same time. Visually, we reckon this is going to be absolute chaos, with gold rings and speed blurs all over the place and we wouldn’t want it any other way!

Using the power of Chaos Emeralds players will be able to swim up waterfalls, change form (to what, we wonder?!) and even multiply! We can’t wait to see what kind of possibilities this opens up!
