No battle strategy is complete without Special moves, but these cost Flower Points (FP) to use. You should always have Syrup items handy to recover FP, but better still, hold onto any Flower Tabs you earn. These raise your max FP but they also restore it. Running low? Use a Flower Tab for a free refill!

HIDDEN GEMS

Be sure to visit the basement of the Mushroom Kingdom item shop and buy the Signal Ring. If you equip it, it will tell you any time there’s a hidden treasure nearby. These treasures are usually invisible chests in the air you can reveal by jumping into them, so jump around to nab your prize!

LUCKY BREAK

Sometimes you’ll get the effect ‘Lucky!’ in battle. If this happens you’ll get the chance to play a mini-game. Three eggs will spin around and if you pick the one with Yoshi inside you’ll double either your EXP or coins. It’s not too hard to track the correct egg, which makes this well worth doing.
