• Disney Infinity Figurine Must Haves

    by Aideen | Mar 07, 2016

I have a serious collecting problem – show me an awesome toy and I will desperately need to get it.  I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to blog about toys, but I guess there are just so many awesome things in the world to write about!

    Disney Infinity
is a great game, but my favourite thing about the series is definitely the figurines. I want all of the Disney Infinity 3.0 figurines that have been revealed so far, but I do also have a few clear favourites. I thought I’d count down the five figurines I want the most right now!

    Captain America

    1. Captain America – The First Avenger

This figurine isn’t out yet and it feels like I’ve waited a thousand years since Disney first announced it would be available. Just look at how epic it is!

    Ahsoka Star Wars

    2. Ahsoka Tano

This figurine comes in a set with the figurine for Anakin Skywalker, and I think the only thing cooler than this Ahsoka figurine is having her dual lightsabers IRL.

    Rey Disney Infinity

    3. Rey

The Rey figurine comes in a double box with the figurine for Finn, and man it is incred. The detail in her flowing desert gear and rad staff is amazing!

    Boba Fett

    4. Boba Fett

The figurine for this famed Star Wars bounty hunter blows my mind. All the colour, tiny symbols, flowing fabric that must have been designed by a genius – it’s so cool! It reminds me of the figurine for Sabine Wren (one of my favourites), which makes sense since both are Mandalorians. I’ll stick Boba right next to Sabine on my shelf, once I get my hands on him!

    Kylo Ren

    Kylo Ren

The fierce new Star Wars villain with a sweet lightsaber is a no-brainer – I’m scared of this figurine, but I also love it!

    Poe Dameron

I’ve had Disney Infinity on the brain this week, especially since I just got to add a new figurine to my collection – Poe Dameron! The best Resistance pilot in the galaxy has a sick figurine, and if you want to see me unboxing it, watch the video below! Lou also got to unbox Kylo Ren, and we might have been a little competitive… ?

  • Yo-Kai Watch!

    by Aideen | Feb 29, 2016
    Yo-kai Watch

    Hi K-Zoners!

I’m currently totally hooked on a show called Yo-Kai Watch (I think the game is pretty awesome too) and I just go to do an unboxing video with the actual Yo-Kai Watch the show is named after! Check it out!

The Yo-Kai Watch show is all about a boy called Nate, who discovers a watch that helps him see creatures called ‘Yo-Kai’! Yo-Kai haunt people and cause all sorts of chaos, but if Nate can befriend them, he can summon them in battles against other troublesome Yo-Kai later!

If you want to find out more about Yo-Kai Watch, grab the March issue of K-Zone, on sale now!

My favourite Yo-Kai is Jibanyan, who looks like a red and white cat with two flame-tipped tails! He’s hilarious and mischievous but super loyal. Yay Jibanyan!

Have you seen (or played) Yo-Kai Watch? Who is your favourite Yo-Kai character? Tell me in the comments!

  • Pete’s Dragon – First Trailer

    by Aideen | Feb 22, 2016
    Pete's Dragon

This new trailer for a movie called Pete’s Dragon has arrived at the perfect time – I’m still super excited about the new Harry Potter book news – so when I watched this magical video I was immediately hooked! Check it out to see what I mean!

How epic was that ending? Even for such a short trailer, that moment has me stoked for more.

Here’s what I know so far about Pete’s Dragon! In the movie, an old wood carver named Mr Meacham has always told stories to local children about a fierce dragon who lives in the woods, but his daughter, Grace, who works as a forest ranger, ignored him. One day, Grace meets Pete, a 10-year-old with no family and home, who says he lives with his BFF Elliott in the woods. And Elliott is a DRAGON! Coolest BFF ever, well done Pete.

That’s all the info I could sneakily get my hands on so far, but I’m keen to see more than just a quick glimpse of Elliott. Hopefully we get a longer trailer soon!

What do you think – are you interested in Pete’s Dragon so far?

  • Eighth Harry Potter Book ‘The Cursed Child’ Confirmed!

    by Aideen | Feb 15, 2016

    Credit: Pottermore

Potterheads will know that a play called Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will hit the stage in London this year, and will pick up the story of Harry Potter 19 years after The Deathly Hallows. Now we have awesome news for all those fans that can’t make it over to England to check out the live performance – The Cursed Child is being released as a book!

I’m already repeating “Accio The Cursed Child” in my head, but we’ll still have to wait a while before we can get our hands and eyes on one of the most highly anticipated stories of the past few years!

The Cursed Child will hit shelves on July 31st, the day after the play is first performed (and also Harry’s birthday)! The book is a printed version of the script, and scripts are written in a slightly different way to your usual novel, but that just adds to the fun of the experience!

I seriously can’t wait to line up to buy the new book and read a brand new story about my favourite wizard!

Fellow Potterheads, how excited are you about a new Harry Potter book? Let me know in the comments below!

  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: New Villain Revealed!

    by Aideen | Feb 08, 2016

The latest footage for TMNT 2: Out of the Shadows has given us a look at a major fan favourite villain from the Ninja Turtles universe – Krang!

When the TMNT 2 trailer came out, I mentioned the most mysterious thing shown so far – some kind of doom-filled storm in the sky above the city. Well, now we can see a little bit more of what might be behind that crazy storm…

    Krang Ship

This massive ship – looks like it might be alien to me.

    Krang Suit

The next reveal truly blew the minds of many Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans – the alien villain Krang, right there on screen!

    Krang v Turtles

Krang lives in a human-shaped exo suit, which is what we can see here facing off against the Turtles.

    Mikey TMNT

We even got to see Krang inside his suit, after Mikey leaned in to get a closer look…

    Krang Eye

And got a big scare! The real Krang inside the suit resembles a kind of alien brain with eyes. Being just a blob, he needs an exo-suit to walk around and keep him alive. In the comics, Shredder builds the suit for him!

We also got some new footage of Shredder scaring Bebop – yup, don’t forget that the Turtles will also be fighting Shredder in Out of the Shadows!

    Casey Jones

Lucky they’ve got Casey Jones to help them try to save the day – and lucky us for getting to see some more awesome hockey-based vigilante moves!

  • New Info About The World of Harry Potter!

    by Aideen | Feb 02, 2016

    Harry Potter Fantastic Beasts

    Credit: Warner Bros. Pictures

Brace yourselves Potterheads – J.K. Rowling has released brand new writing set in the world of Harry Potter! The exclusive writing was unveiled at the Celebration of Harry Potter in Universal Orlando Resort over the weekend, and describes schools of magic in Brazil, Japan and Africa! Until now, we’ve only known about a few schools – Hogwarts in Britain, Durmstrang in Bulgaria and Beauxbatons in France. This new writing is super exciting because we’re slowly learning more about the wizarding world, and with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them coming out later this year, there will continue to be more new things to discover!

As a massive Harry Potter fan, I’ve read through all the new info (roughly 100 times already) and I thought I’d blog about the most important parts for you!

    Castelobruxo, Brazil

The Brazilian school is a castle called Castelobruxo (pronounced ‘Cass-tell-o-broo-shoo’ – such a cool name), hidden deep in the rainforest. The gold building looks like a ruin to Muggle eyes, which is the same spell placed on Hogwarts! The school is protected by Caipora, small mischievous furry spirit-beings who emerge at night to watch over the grounds. The Brazilian students are known for being really good at Herbology, the study of magical and mundane plants, and Magizoology, the study of magical creatures.

    Mahoutokoro, Japan

This is an ancient school with the smallest student body of the eleven great wizarding schools, and accepts students as young as seven. Students can only board once they turn 11, so younger students are flown to and from their homes on the back of a flock of giant birds! The school building is made of jade and stands on the highest part of the volcanic island of Minami Iwo Jima, which is thought to be uninhabited by Muggles.

Japanese witches and wizards at Mahoutokoro wear enchanted robes that change colour as their magical knowledge advances, starting as a faint pink. The best students achieve a gold robe. If the robe turns white, this shows the student has practised Dark magic (betraying the Japanese wizard’s code) or broken the International Statute of Secrecy, which means being expelled and being put on trial at the Japanese Ministry of Magic.

    Uagadou, Africa

Uagadou is the biggest wizarding school in the world! It accepts students from all over the continent, and the only known address for the school is ‘Mountains of the Moon’. Visitors describe a place carved out of a mountain and shrouded in mist, that looks like it is floating. Students at Uagadou are known for their skills in Astronomy, Alchemy and Self-Transfiguration. African witches and wizards also don’t use wands – most cast spells simply by pointing a finger or gesturing with their hands. Students are told they have been accepted into Uagadou by a Dream Messenger, which appears to them as they sleep and leaves a token. That sounds totally awesome!

My brain is still trying to process all the incredible new things J.K. Rowling has revealed about the world of Harry Potter!

If you could go to any school in the wizarding world, which would you choose?

  • Star Wars: The Force Awakens, IRL

    by Aideen | Jan 25, 2016

    Hi K-Zoners!

I’ve had Star Wars on the brain for months now, and I’m sure a lot of you can relate. I keep finding myself wishing I lived in the world of Star Wars, so I thought I’d share my ultimate Star Wars: The Force Awakens themed trip around the world! While the movie locations look seriously out of this world, a lot of the amazing places exist right here on Earth!

A quick warning K-Zoners before you go any further! There could possibly be spoilers in this list if you haven’t seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens, so be careful!

Here are three IRL filming locations from The Force Awakens that you could visit one day!

    Credit: Getty Images

    Star Wars location:
    Jakku, Western Reaches

    Earth location:
Rub’ al Kahli Desert, Abu Dhabi

Rey’s desert home planet was filmed in the world’s largest sand desert, full of beautiful sand dunes and covered with unusual reddish-orange sand.

Star Wars location: Takodana, Mid Rim

Earth location: Puzzlewood, Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, England

The forest around Maz Kanata’s castle was filmed on a woodland site with a seriously magical sounding name! Lucasfilm president, Kathleen Kennedy, said that the filmmakers were looking for ‘the most magical forest on the face of the earth’. We think they succeeded!

    Credit: Getty Images

    Star Wars location: Unnamed

    Earth location: Skellig Michael, Ireland

A major scene in the movie shows a remote, rocky island – one of my favourite locations in the Star Wars universe so far. This crazy island covered in 618 steep steps is called Skellig Michael, and can be found off the coast of Ireland!

What Star Wars location, either on Earth or in the universe, would you want to live in? I like Hoth – I love the cold, and snow!

  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Update

    by Aideen | Jan 18, 2016

    Guardians of the Galaxy

    Credit: Marvel Entertainment

Earlier this week, James Gunn shared the picture below to announce he has finished the screenplay for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Gunn wrote and directed the first movie, so I’m pretty excited to see what he does with the sequel!

    Guardians of the Galaxy script

    Credit: James Gunn

The movie currently has a release date around May 2017, but that may change – fingers crossed it comes out a little earlier!

We don’t know too much about the plot yet, but from what I’ve heard the movie will be introducing us to Peter Quill/Star-Lord’s dad!

Yondu, Kraglin and Nebula will also be returning for the sequel, and the Guardians will apparently meet a new member!

    Zoe Saldana

    Credit: Zoe Saldana

Actress Zoe Saldana shared this photo in November, showing part of the special effect makeup teams process for turning her into Gamora. Her entire face and neck is covered in green goo which is used to create a mold of her face – the special effects team can use that later to design prosthetics. Gamora is the last of a species called the Zen-Whoberis, who were exterminated by a reptilian alien species called the Badoon. It takes a bit of work to turn Zoe from a human being to a Zen-Whoberis!

Since the screenplay is finished, and the movie will start filming in February, we should hopefully hear more about the plot and cast soon!

  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 Trailer: What We Learned

    by Aideen | Jan 11, 2016

If you’ve seen the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 trailer, you probably noticed there was a whole heap of new information revealed in the fast-paced footage! I’ve written about previously revealed info in my blog before, so check them out too if you want to know more about the movie!

While the sequel was originally called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Half Shell, the trailer revealed that the movie has been renamed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Out Of The Shadows! The new title makes sense since the trailer shows Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael revealing their existence to the world! That’s major news – our fave turtles have been hiding in the sewers and the dark of night while saving the city in the past!

We also get to see Bebop and Rocksteady for the first time on the big screen! All we knew originally was that human actors would play the duo, but this trailer shows that we’ll be getting rhino and pig henchmen after all! It also explains how they become giant animals that work for Shredder – it looks intense. I think Bebop and Rocksteady look close to their previous designs, and I’m keen to see them in action! They’ve got some hilare lines in the trailer, and seeing a giant rhino and pig seated on motorbikes gives us a great taste of how crazy this movie is going to be!

The trailer also gives us our first glimpse of Stephen Amell as Casey Jones in motion – we’ve only seen a few sneaky pictures of him so far! It’s fun to see that he will continue to be a masked hockey-stick wielding vigilante with some serious skills. That moment where we see Casey rollerblading away from a raging Rocksteady? Insane!

The most mysterious part of the movie so far is shown at the opening of the trailer. There’s some pretty scary looking stuff happening in the city – giant whirling clouds of doom in the sky don’t usually end well. Now we know there’s some kind of threat for the Turtles to save everyone from, but we’re still being kept in the dark about what it is!

What did you think of the trailer? Let me know in the comments!

  • Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them Trailer

    by Aideen | Jan 04, 2016

    Fantastic Beasts Title

    Credit: Pottermore

Happy New Year! Harry Potter fans everywhere (including myself) have another reason to celebrate entering 2016 – Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them will be hitting the big screen! It’s been five years since Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the last movie to be set in J.K. Rowling’s magical world, was released in cinemas, so I got chills hearing “Lumos maxima” whispered at the start of the trailer. It’s been too long!

Here are three things we learned from the trailer...

    Credit: Pottermore

    1. Magical creatures have been smuggled into New York City in a briefcase, and some have apparently escaped. Plus, Newt Scamander, played by Eddie Redmayne, looks like he’ll be a great main character!

    Wall Fantastic Beasts

    Credit: Pottermore

    2. Some of those fantastic beasts are big, and powerful. There’s a moment in the trailer where you see a New York apartment with an entire brick wall missing – implying a magical creature was involved.

    Congress Fantastic Beasts

    Credit: Pottermore

    3. Potterheads finally got to see the American wizarding world in action! The film takes place in 1920s America, the first time we’ve gotten to see a wizarding world outside of Britain. At one point, you can see a sign for America’s version of the Ministry of Magic – the Magical Congress of the United States of America.

Not enough cool facts for you? Here’s something J.K. Rowling revealed a few months ago – in America, wizards and witches don’t call a person without magical powers a ‘muggle’, they call them a ‘no-maj’. I’m keen to see what other differences there are between the American and British wizarding worlds!

  • Who Is Doctor Strange?

    by Aideen | Dec 27, 2015

    Dr Strange

    Credit: Marvel Entertainment

Since Marvel will be releasing a Doctor Strange movie at the end of 2016, there have been a few K-Zoners wondering who this mysterious Marvel character is – so I thought I’d share what I know! Now, I don’t know what the plot of the movie will be yet, so I’ll be talking about the character in the comics – just in case, be warned there might end up being spoilers in this post, depending on what the movie is about!

Doctor Stephen Strange was an excellent but arrogant doctor – one of the best surgeons in the business! He only really cared about wealth and getting further in his medical career. Unfortunately, the bones in Strange’s hands were shattered in an accident, and he was unable to ever operate again. Desperate to find a way to fix his hands, Strange travelled the world trying to find a cure.

Eventually, after running out of money and living on the streets, Strange found a hermit in the Himalayas called the Ancient One. The Ancient One refused to help Strange, sensing his selfishness, but after Strange committed a selfless act in order to save the hermit, the Ancient One accepted Strange as an apprentice and taught him the mystic arts. After completing his training, Strange returned to New York and made his home in the Sanctum Sanctorum, a townhouse located in Greenwich Village. In the comics, many Marvel characters have visited the Sanctum Sanctorum and called on Doctor Strange for help with mystical and magical threats.

As a magician, Strange draws his power from magical entities and artefacts, and the full extent of his power is still unknown. He has been shown in the comics to be able to do magical acts such as energy projection, matter transformation, object animation, teleportation, illusion casting, mesmerism, astral projection, time travel and mental possession, plus heaps more! In addition to his magical abilities, Strange is trained in several martial arts, and obviously his history as a neurosurgeon means he is highly intelligent. Doctor Strange is one of the mightiest magicians in the cosmos, and has held the title of Sorcerer Supreme, primary protector of Earth against magical threats, for many years.

Actor Benedict Cumberbatch will be joining the Marvel family by playing Strange in the official film. K-Zoners will probably know Cumberbatch as the voice of Smaug in The Hobbit. Cumberbatch was a fan favourite to be Strange because he looks so similar and has the right acting skills to portray such a strange character.

    Benedict Cumberbatch

    Credit: Getty Images

Here’s a photo of Benedict laughing at the idea of someone being able to beat him in a magical battle, and here’s another of him photobombing U2, because he’s awesome.

    Set Marvel

Marvel Co-President Louis D’Esposito recently took this picture with the director and producer of Doctor Strange, making it the first official snap from the set of the film. While we can’t see any of the actors around, this pic is sneakily showing off two important parts of Doctor Strange’s story. The door has the seal of Vishanti, the symbol of the school of magic Strange is taught in, and on the table is the Eye of Agamotto, an artifact that Strange often uses to negate evil magic.

I can’t wait to see what Marvel does with this magician in the movie universe! Doctor Strange becoming a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is particularly exciting because it means the world of magic and mystical arts will be introduced into the same world as all the other superheroes we’ve seen on the big screen.

What do you think would be the coolest thing to do with magical powers? Let me know in the comments!

  • Star Wars: The Force Awakens Is Here!

    by Aideen | Dec 21, 2015

We did it K-Zoners! Star Wars: The Force Awakens has officially burst into cinemas and onto the big screen! It felt like we waited forever, but it was all worth it in the end. Since we’re all on holidays now (yay!), there is seriously no better way to celebrate the end of year break than watching The Force Awakens... Then watching it again! LOL!

I was lucky enough to go to The Force Awakens Sydney premiere on Wednesday, December 16 and the atmosphere was crazy! Everyone was so excited to finally watch the movie, and a lot of people wore Star Wars costumes to the event. I got a cool Star Wars: The Force Awakens medallion at the premiere with BB-8 (one of my favourite characters) on it!

    BB-8 Medallion Star Wars

I also bought a ticket aaaages ago to see the movie at IMAX, so I went for the second time yesterday! It was an awesome way to spend my Sunday.

Don’t worry though, there’ll be no Star Wars spoilers from me! What I really want to know is, have you seen the movie? What did you think? Who is your fave new Star Wars character?

I have so many questions for you all, cause I know there are some other mega Star Wars fans out there! Let me know in the comments below – and try to avoid spoilers in your comments too, coz our super Online Editor Erin will be using the Force to prevent any spoilers showing up, and your comment may not go through!

By the way K-Zoners, while I am on holiday now and get to camp out at the cinema for a few weeks, I’ll still be blogging every Monday, so never fear! See you next week!

  • Star Wars: The Force Awakens Facts!

    by Aideen | Dec 14, 2015

    Captain Phasma

We’re almost there K-Zoners! Take a look at that countdown clock! Less than a week until Star Wars: The Force Awakens! I haven’t recovered from seeing Harrison Ford, aka Han Solo(!!) in the flesh last week, and I’m clutching my BB-8 droid with anticipation for the movie! I thought I’d share some cool behind the scenes facts with you to celebrate finally getting to Star Wars Countdown Week!

    1. Actor Oscar Isaac, who plays Poe Dameron in The Force Awakens, used to dress up as a gonk droid when he went to see the other Star Wars movies with his family. He basically chucked on a box and some grey stripes and headed to the cinema! Legend!

    2. The Force Awakens will be the first Star Wars film not to be released in May.

    3. The director, JJ Abrams, originally turned down the job! He’s such a big Star Wars fan, he didn’t want to spoil the next movie by being in charge! LOL! He eventually changed his mind, and we trust he’s made an awesome movie!

    4. This will be the first Star Wars film that doesn’t involve its creator, George Lucas. Whoa!

    5. The Force Awakens is the start of a whole new bunch of Star Wars productions! There are plans to release a new film every year, including spin offs, sequels and an animated series!

If you want more behind the scenes deets, check out the January issue of K-Zone, on sale now for seven more mind-blowing facts from the set of Star Wars: The Force Awakens!

  • Get To Know Black Panther

    by Aideen | Dec 07, 2015

    Black Panther

I don’t know a lot about Black Panther and Captain Marvel, so I would really like it if you did a blog post about them!

    From Annabelle

    Hey Annabelle!

I’m glad you want to hear more about Black Panther and Captain Marvel, cause I’m mega keen to write about them! I’ll blog about Captain Marvel soon, but I figured since Black Panther made an epic appearance in the new Captain America: Civil War trailer, it’s probably a good time to blog about him!

    Black Panther Trailer

If you haven’t seen the Civil War trailer, here’s our first look of Black Panther in action!

In the comics, the title of ‘Black Panther’ is actually passed down among the royal family of the (fictional) African nation of Wakanda. The story of the most well-known Black Panther, called T’Challa, all starts when a meteorite made of vibranium crashes in Wakanda. The ruler, King T’Chaka, believed that outsiders would exploit his country for this amazing resource, and decides to hide Wakanda from the rest of the world.

When King T’Chaka was killed by a villain trying to get to the vibranium, T’Challa, his son, eventually inherited the throne of the technologically advanced kingdom. After a series of intense physical tests and education, T’Challa also grew worthy of the mantle of ‘Black Panther’, and was allowed to eat the ‘Heart-Shaped Herb’ which linked him to the Panther god and granted him superhuman strength, speed, stamina and senses.

T’Challa is known as many things in the comic world – a genius, a brilliant tactician, strategist, scientist, tracker, athlete, champion of justice and master of all forms of unarmed combat. His unique fighting style uses acrobatics and aspects of animal mimicry.

Being a descendant of a royal warrior race also means he’s a master of armed combat too, able to use a variety of weapons – he just prefers unarmed combat. T’Challa is considered one of the eight smartest people on the planet, always has a plan, and is usually thinking several steps ahead of everyone else in order to achieve his goals and protect the kingdom of Wakanda.

As we saw in the trailer, Black Panther definitely has some amazing combat moves – the brief glimpse of a fight between him and Bucky/The Winter Soldier is intense! You can also see Black Panther sprinting through a tunnel at crazy speeds, being chased by Captain America – so he’s definitely living up to his athletic comic history.

We’ve also heard that in the movies, Black Panther’s costume will be coated in vibranium, a metal found in Wakanda. Marvel fans will also know vibranium as the same metal Captain America’s shield is made of. The movie version of Black Panther may not be exactly the same as the one in the comics, so we’ll have to wait to see whether there are any differences in the characters life or personality on the big screen!

    Boseman Black Panther

Chadwick Boseman, AKA Black Panther. Image credit: Getty

So, who is going to play this amazing character on the big screen? Marvel have chosen actor Chadwick Boseman to take on the role of Black Panther in Captain America: Civil War in 2016 and Black Panther in 2018. I’m sure Chadwick will end up being as much of a household name as the rest of the Marvel superhero actors by the time Civil War is in cinemas!

Phew! This was a long blog post K-Zoners, but there’s just so much to say about T’Challa, the epic Black Panther! I wish I could keep writing about him forever, but I’ll have to stop. How about you let me know what your fave thing about Black Panther is in the comments?

  • Civil War Trailer Released!

    by Aideen | Dec 01, 2015

Red alert! This is not a drill! Marvel released the first Captain America: Civil War trailer last week, and it was amazing!

    Captain America Civil War

It had it all! New alliances, new teams, new enemies, new characters, and epic fight scenes! Did you see that move Falcon did where he spun in the air and kicked two guys at once? What about Bucky jumping off that building? Guys, Cap held onto a helicopter with his BARE HANDS!

Civil War will be about Steve leading the new team of Avengers that we saw at the end of Age of Ultron as they continue to try and keep humanity safe. But when something big involving the Avengers leaves collateral damage behind, the government wants to start a new system, headed by a governing body to watch and direct the Avengers. This decision leads to a split among the Avengers – one team led by Steve and his desire for the Avengers to stay free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other team led by Tony Stark in a surprising decision to support the governments plan.

    Watch the trailer here:

It sounds like Civil War will be massive! People are already calling it Avengers 2.5, since the movie will have almost every superhero in it.

Are you excited to watch the movie in April 2016? Let me know in the comments below!

  • Avengers: Infinity War Mega Update!

    by Aideen | Nov 23, 2015

    Avengers Infinity War
    Credit: Marvel Entertainment

Last week I asked if there were any movies you wanted an update on, and Stak commented asking for news on the third Avengers movie!

Awesome question Stak – the next Avengers movie will be called Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1, and it will hit the big screen in 2018!

I’m already super keen to see Infinity War, but there will actually be a few Marvel movies at the cinema before the next Avengers! Captain America: Civil War will come out in April 2016 (almost there!), followed by Doctor Strange in November 2016, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in 2017, an untitled Spider-Man movie in 2017, Thor: Ragnarok in 2017, and Black Panther before we can go to the movies to watch Avengers: Infinity War Part 1. There’ll even be two more movies – Ant-Man and the Waspand Captain Marvel – before Avengers: Infinity War – Part 2 in 2019!

Every Marvel movie will end up adding to the plot of Infinity War – Part 1 (and of course Part 2), so with that in mind, here’s what I know about Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1 so far! Be warned, there might be spoilers below so tread carefully!

Marvel has been sneakily planting clues for Infinity War since the first Marvel films, introducing Infinity Stones like the Tesseract in Captain America: The First Avenger, the Mind Stone in Loki’s Scepter in The Avengers, the Aether/Reality Stone in Thor: The Dark World, and the Orb/Power Stone in Guardians of the Galaxy. They also showed an Infinity Gauntlet for a sec in Thor, and another in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Don’t believe me, or don’t remember? I give you permission to go back and watch all the movies again.

The Infinity Stones are super powerful gems from the comic books, and whoever holds all six and uses them at once (like in an Infinity Gauntlet) can gain ultimate power and knowledge. It’s a really big deal. So I’m thinking, if Thanos or any other baddie finally collects all the Stones, the universe could be in trouble – or even go to war. We’ll have to see what happens in the next few films to figure out more about Infinity War!

Basically, brb K-Zoners, I’m just going to go try and find a time machine to help me jump into the future and see all these amaze movies. I don’t know if I can wait! Which movie are you most excited for K-Zoners?

Pssst! If you’re wondering who Black Panther, Captain Marvel and Doctor Strange are, stay tuned in the next few weeks for blog posts giving you the lowdown! I’ll also be giving one of my fave DC characters – The Flash – some love on the blog too!

  • The Good Dinosaur? More Like The Awesome Dinosaur!

    by Aideen | Oct 23, 2015

Look guys, this blog is for awesome things – and what could be more awesome than a world where dinosaurs were never wiped out by that super annoying asteroid? The Good Dinosaur is basically bringing my dream of dinosaurs roaming the Earth to life, and we get to watch a dinosaur and a human go on an epic adventure!

I can already tell I’m going to be a huge fan of Arlo, the Apatosaurus, and Spot, the human cave boy, but I thought I’d share these shots from the movie to help make my point that The Good Dinosaur looks AMAZING!

    The Good Dinosaur mountain

Doesn’t this just make you want to go on an adventure?!

    The Good Dinosaur campfire

This takes scary campfire stories to a whole other level…

    The Good Dinosaur Styracosaurus

This Styracosaurus looks seriously hilare, I can’t wait to see more of him in the movie!

There’s actually a chance you saw Forrest Woodbush, the dinosaur in the pic above, ages before he was shown in the trailer for the movie! Keen eyed K-Zoners may have noticed a scene in Inside Out where one of Riley’s memories shows her family taking a photo with statues of dinosaurs. That dinosaur is Forrest Woodbush! Mind blown – great Easter Egg Pixar!

If you haven’t seen the (awesome) trailers for The Good Dinosaur yet, check them out here

Tell me K-Zoners, are you going to be watching The Good Dinosaur when it comes out? How stoked would you be to have a dino as your best mate? Let me know in the comments!

  • Star Wars Rebels News!

    by Aideen | Oct 12, 2015

    Star Wars Rebels

The cast and crew of Star Wars Rebels were at New York Comic Con on Friday to spill some secrets about the second season! Here’s what you need to know!

    • There’s a new villain! The crew of the Ghost has a formidable foe in the Seventh Sister, an Inquisitor who doesn’t just go in for the kill, but likes to hunt her prey. She’s also on a mission to find Ahsoka Tano! The Seventh Sister has her own lightsaber with an interesting design, and she uses small mimic drones to help her defeat her enemies.

    • The mystery of Ezra’s missing parents will be part of the new season! Ezra’s voice actor, Taylor Gray, said the show would go ‘very deep’ into investigating what happened to them.

    • Ahsoka Tano will act as a kind of Obi-Wan for the Rebels. According to show creator Dave Filoni, “Ahsoka shows up when necessary. She’s dealing with bigger, darker problems”. Fans will also get clues throughout the season for what Ahsoka has been doing between Clone Wars and Rebels.

    • In brand new footage shown at the convention, Ahsoka appears wielding her two lightsabers, which are now white. Ashley Eckstein, the voice of Ahsoka, said that since Ahsoka is no longer a Jedi, she chose the new colour because she is neutral – neither the blue/green of the Jedi, or the red of the Sith.

Catch the Season 2 premiere of Star Wars Rebels on Sunday, October 18 at 8:30am on Disney XD! Plus watch the trailer here:

  • Ant-Man Sequel Title Revealed and More Marvel News!

    by Aideen | Oct 09, 2015

    Ant-Man 2 News

Marvel just revealed changes to Phase Three of its Cinematic Universe!

Perhaps the coolest news is the announcement of Ant-Man 2’s release date and new title! The sequel is now called Ant-Man and The Wasp and is set for release in July 2018. That’s right – it sounds like Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne are going to be teaming up for more bug-sized adventures!

In mysterious news, Marvel also announced three release dates for movies that are still secret and untitled! The three movies will be released after Avengers: Infinity War in May 2020, July 2020 and November 2020. Any guesses or hopes for what the three movies could be about K-Zoners?

For Marvel fans that are excited about the films Black Panther and Captain Marvel, it was announced that their release dates have been moved back slightly so Ant-Man and The Wasp can hit the big screen as soon as possible.

For those who don’t know much about the epic Black Panther and amazing Captain Marvel, do you want me to write a blog post about them to keep you updated? Let me know!
